The Love Your Neighbor Team aims to help King's Church live out this second greatest commandment. Specifically, we aim to focus on the "Out" component of King's Church's mission by helping people engage with their neighbors, with the community, in their discipleship journey.

We help the church engage with their neighbors by:

Sharing personal stories of individual efforts in loving and serving others. As much as we want to create opportunities to serve, we also want to celebrate what people are already doing, whether in the church setting, or in their professional or personal lives. In that way, we hope to continue to raise and maintain awareness of ways people can serve and encourage others to engage themselves.

Sharing opportunities for people to serve through the church. We will focus on coordinating opportunities for individuals, community groups, or the entire congregation to get involved with opportunities in our local community and existing partners. We will also focus on better coordinating ways to serve within the church when a need may arise for members and visitors.

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"

-Matthew 22: 38-39
